(I'm sure she used the kids just as an excuse most of the time) Even my last boss spent a lot of time away from the library because of the kids. We all got really annoyed at that. (I'm pretty sure he used them as excuse many times as well)

@Jo, that cartoon, super classic. I am sure to have caused some trouble at my mother's place of work from the many times she's had to drop her activities, for the phone (whether I got in trouble at school or home). One more nail in my childfree coffin!
