Makes sense to me.

Speaking of struggles and critique of religion, have you read Cave's book "And The Ass Saw The Angel"?

Aiden, first thanks for the link to "Parallel Worlds" - I haven't gone fully through it but I am working on it.

Second, the lyrics were very strange to me at first, too. But Nick Cave is one of those people that I think still struggles with religion. He writes a lot of stuff that focuses on the misery perpetuated by religion and with people dealing with their own good vs. bad morality crisis. This song, I think, is influenced by the "eternal sinner" idea put forth by many religions, particularly Catholicism, and is supposed to show the misery that people feel surrounding morality/mortal sin.

Just a theory.... probably wrong!

As much as I love the music, the lyrics for "The Weeping Song" have me a little lost...

Possibly my favorite Nick Cave song:

Randy, speaking of E and his dad, have you seen "Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives"? Very interesting if you're into both the eels and quantum physics.

Signing Atheists

I was going to set up a group for Deaf Atheists, but figured I'd probably be alone in here if I did that so I figured I'd open it to anyone who knows sign language or even interested in learning it.
