Kant writes that there is no way of theoretically proving the existence of a god because religion is based on faith therefore beyond the realm of reason.  If we can't prove the existence of a god why should we care if one exists.  What's important is our moral compass and one does not have to have faith in god to be a moral person.

The existence of god has no bearing on whether I can or am good. Just now I am reading Sam Harris and thought this was such an appropriate group to join.

Actually, the rednecks are here and everywhere. Let me say, I'm not a big fan of these people. That's putting it mildly. Need I describe them?
