AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN) - President Barack Obama will be in Austin, Texas, Tuesday evening for two fundraising events.
He is expected to arrive at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport around 4:30 p.m. and will head directly to the Austin Music Hall for a fundraising event that gets under way at 5:45 p.m.
That fundraiser is hosted by the LGBT Leadership Council.
Tickets for the event, which will feature singer/songwriter Jerry Jeff Walker, range in price from $250 per person to $7,500 per couple.
He later will head to a second capital city event hosted by Tom Meredith -- Dell's former finance chief.
It's reportedly at Mededith's Four Seasons residence where couples can get in for $25,000.
Prior to the president's arrival in Austin, he will be just one hour south in San Antonio for a fundraising event at the Convention Center.
The crowd was expected to be 300 but after a lot of interest, 1,000 tickets were sold.
During his visit, his campaign hopes to best his Republican rival, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney -- who raised $106 million last month, compared to Obama's $71 million.
Secret Service and local safety officials are not disclosing the exact route of the motorcade.
Those hoping to watch the motorcade will be allowed along the street.
Texans for Obama plans to host a rally outside the Austin Music Hall to welcome the president beginning at 3 p.m.
Tea party members also plan to hold their own rally outside the event as well.
