Strong Atheists

A group for those who actively rebel against religious bullshit. Religions harm our society, poison our mind and threaten our mental health. This is an Anti-Religions-Group! No discrimination against a certain group of imbeciles, but all of them

@TNT: Really? One of my wives is transgender. If this is what you learnt from your interaction with transgender people, then you have to open your eyes and ears from now on and be more receptive. Start from zero.

@ ɟǝןıx dǝʇɹɐɹ  try not to pretend to know me because you don't. My understanding of transgender people comes from real life relationships.

@Regina Goodwin: I pressume it was a TG lady. You can't stop those fucktards from being mean. Be on her side if you can but the solution for her would be to get out of that social environment. They will not stop and don't expect enlightenment on any of them, even less on 13 people together.

@TNT: "Transgenders are to me like religionists or homeopathics, way too centred on the mind's misperceptions."

Yes, because you don't know anything about that, you have to formulate an opinion anyway. I don't even bother explain to you what is that; do a little bit of research, find what are transgenders, why are they so and only after that formulate an opinion about that. That is critical thinking and not pointing at one group that they are not such critical thinkers like you.

Also, @TNT, I don't think there is anything wrong with any of those procedures.  If there was something about my body that I wasn't happy with that was 100% fixable, I would fix it.

If the individual is oblivious, I wouldn't even think about telling her.  Stand up for her when you can, but, in my opinion, the more you put the spotlight on the situation, the uglier it is going to get.

Not sure how this is a religious thing. In Iran, the state covers all transgender surgeries cuz transgenders are not mentioned in the Coran. But from a strong atheist viewpoint, gender (as opposed to biological phenotypic sexually differentiated humans) does not exist, just as no spiritual world exists. So given that "genders" do not exist, I don't see the rational of getting a surgery in order to fit into some stereotypical "gender" construct. Transgenders are to me like religionists or homeopathics, way too centred on the mind's misperceptions. To me it's all ridiculous cosmetic surgery, just like breast implants and vaginal 'rejuvenation' and butt hole bleaching.

Question:

I'm studying Spanish and I am the only atheist in the class.  :D  There is a transgender classmate that is about to be harassed by 13 xtians.  One started preaching Monday nite about this person needs Bubbles aka J.C. and instead of dictionaries in the classroom, we should have bibles.

One woman was complaining about this individual using the bathroom.  My question is:

Should I inform this individual about the backlash and provide her with a name of an attorney?

This is starting to get ugly in the classroom and both this individual and teacher are oblivious to this situation.  5 members of this cult knows that I am an atheist and have told them where to take their religion.
