I haven't watched Family Guy much at all, but I thought it was great.  The only thing that weirded me out was the Obi-Wan pedophile guy.  I understand he's actually a character on the show, which is kind of over the line for me.

Good point about the theater viewing, except for Jar Jar. They can just delete him.
