This Friday some of us will be going to Art Walk. Then on the 18th, we will be watching Religulous at Cory's residence. Be sure to e-mail me for the address if you are planning to attend.

The BBQ was excellent! A very big thank you to Starla, who is a wonderful host. There were at least 20 Springfield Freethinkers and several of us brought a number of guest. At first I just mingled and tried to meet as many attendees as possible. After an hour or so, five or six conversation sized groups formed. Which made for a really pleasant evening of conversation. Eric broke out his guitar and started playing some songs. This was undoubtedly the best meetup so far. Coming up this week, we will have a joint meetup with the humanist group on Wednesday, and Friday some of us will be going to Art Walk. I don't have a date yet, but later this month we will be screening Religulous, probably at the Breadeaux Pizza on Battlefield, on a Wednesday night.

We are doing the BBQ for sure, here is the description I wrote for the Meetup page.

Starla says,

I'm hopin for a large crowd... Menu is hamburgers, hotdogs, boca burgers for any vegetarians, potato salad, baked beans, and some snack stuff like chips and buffalo wings. I have soda, tea and some alcohol but of course if anyone wants anything specific to drink or snack on they can bring it.

Jonathan says,

Be sure to some cash for tips or something fun to eat or drink... I'll be bringing some beer. No doubt about it.

Mriana, you are gonna love art walk. Basically you walk arround downtown looking at art displays and drinking free wine... its a pub crawl for poor elites.
