Hi there! I am new to Atheistnexus, and I am not online much.

I am also on FB, Ravelry, and I have a wordpress-blog.

I do not consider myself a "weak" Atheist simply because I am NOT 100% Sure that God-Gods-Goddess Exist or not. I simply say I don't know, but I live my life according to the "natural laws" of this planet, NOT the bible written thousands of years ago when people "knew" the earth was flat.

Been knitting again. My sister's baby will be here in about 2 months so I'm finishing off the last baby blanket I'm making for her, and then going to make her birthday/christmas present, then going to knit baby sweaters/cardigans up until Christmas/Most of Winter.

I bought an unfinished vintage My Little Pony sun catcher off Etsy that I want to finish. I have to get to get some of those melting plastic pellets; just have to remember on a day off to go get them! I'm also trying to find pictures of the sun catcher to see what colors they used.

I've just picked up some lovely malabrigo to try my first pair of socks.

My husband bought me the toe -up two at a time socks book, and I'm finally feeling up to trying.

I'm also in the middle of a hat...but can't build enough desire to finish it now that it's warm out. ;o)

What projects are you all working on right now?

I don't know if this counts as "crafty" but I'm a graphic designer and I've created some designs for t-shirts that I'm selling through Cafe Press. Link available upon request.

knitpicks comes with either the metal ( which I have) or the wooden ( which I have purchased a few tips)
I have never had the cable come undone- I did have one break at the join- the company replaced it quickly- and i was able to use superglue in the meantime. So out of all the cables, and almost 2 years now, thats been it, as far as cables.
I did have a wooden tip come loose from its metal base ( apparently insufficient glue was used during assembly, twice- it was annoying, once I did drop stitiches- but again quick service replaced them ( and superglue repaired the one that broke) It hasnt happened since.
They never just come undone- something that happened with the DEnise when I tried it.

Is the knitpicks options the ones with the multicolored wooden needles?

I've heard mixed reviews about knitpicks...some folks say that the cable can come undone...leaving the cable end free and work sliding off. But, lots of people don't seem to have the issue, and the company is supposed to have great service.

The Addis are expensive, but they have that click join that's supposed to stay connected better....that's a lot of cash, though, and they don't come with a #5.

Have you seen or tried the Denise, or CA, or Hiya Hiya?

I have the knitpicks options, and like them a lot!
they are flexible, and for the most part have held up well. One cable didnt, but they replaced them.
Addi turbo has a set now, and I like addis- they may be more expensive though.

Recovering from Religion
