Hi, I'm new here.I'm glad to join here and knowing that here lots of skeptic people like me are able to correspond their own views on any topic.I'm Indian.I want to discuss with my skeptic friends that why few TV channels like Discovery, AXN show some programmes based on paranormals and Pseudoscience.I thought that they only show something which are based on facts and science.I watched they were showing in the programme that they use somekind of electronic device for detecting the existence of ghost or evil spirits and trying to imply that ghosts respond through this device. My question is, are they trying to say that ghost are real?If so, then it is very much disappointing that they are encouraging the belief in supernatural beings though they used to show facts and give scientific explanations of any phenomenon .As a skeptic and science student I think all ghost stories are imaginary, created by them and represented with the help of special effects. Those programmes are creating adverse effect to the people's mind, especially to children and becoming a hindrance to think people in natural, scientific way and totally misleading them.
I shall be grateful if you send your opinion about it and I am looking forward to your reply.
