Sex for fun and non-procreation!

In this world, we can't get away from religion. We've been exposed to false information regarding contraception failure rates and experienced the STD scare tactics. Some of us may even have gone through abstinence-only sex education!

Here in Secular Sexuality we will discuss:

-sexual health in light of peer-reviewed science
-safe for work guides on safe(r) sex (or links)
-questions that would shock the religious

Naked Love

Love is in the air this month on Sundance Channel. With Valentine's Day just past and spring fever on the way, we're bringing you the naked truth about love in 2009. Check out NAKED LOVE, a new online destination featuring short films, videos, quizzes and photo galleries dedicated to the full satisfaction of your inner closet romantic.

Headlining NAKED LOVE are a series of brand new shorts from Canada exploring temptations and consequences, intimate dos and don'ts and what really goes on behind the scenes of an explicit webcam show. Also don't miss a new episode of CASSIDY LOVES MOBY starring musician Moby and a free-spirited plastic doll, and "Love at the Festival", a collection of videos showcasing some of the romantic films and themes on display at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.

Rounding things out are new photo galleries including "Indie Love", featuring the sexiest independent films we could find, and two separate collections from Asia Extreme films that spotlight a more twisted take on romance.

Thanks Hamby, I will when I have time.

And Hana, I signed up on, but there is like one guy in my area, and I'd have to pay $14 to be able to email him.

I never ever ever understood the ban on stem cell research. I can understand how someone who either believes in the soul or is ignorant of the rate of fetal development and the fact that people have uncharacteristically early births for mammals would be against abortion, but as it's legal, why they would go ahead and ban stem cell research is just alien to me. Why is disposing of a fetus more dignified than using it to save lives?

Obama has now vacated the Bush order prohibiting any sex education funds for countries that allow abortion on demand. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. Parts of the world are over-populated for their resources as it is (e.g. the Brazilian rain forest is disappearing) we don't need a president whose fundamentalist beliefs and election debts to the likes of Falwell prohibit people from having more children. Obama also put the skids on the anti-stem cell research restrictions of the Bushies. Hey, maybe they will cure my leukemia in my own lifetime! "God" would probably HATE that.

Thanks Hana. I'll look into it. I post LT Relationship posts to Craigslist, but all I get is sex responses.

Dallas Gaytheist- I met my current boyfriend on I'm insanely in love with him but am unsure if the site is actually that good or if I picked a gem out of a pile of turds. Worth a shot though!

I know some of you have mentioned using Atheist Dating sites, and have had varioius opinions on each. But I want to try anyway. Which can you recommend?

I was raised as a Catholic and was suffered from misinformation about sex for quite some time.

Come to think of it, I actually was going to wait before marriage! Now that's blasphemous!

I just had almost an hour conversation with an 18 year old girl who has a boyfriend to whom I had to explain pretty much everything sexual from fingering to "yes, getting wet is normal, nothing is wrong".

Why would anyone ever want to damage someone by keeping them THAT ignorant?! The poor girl!
