Sex for fun and non-procreation!

In this world, we can't get away from religion. We've been exposed to false information regarding contraception failure rates and experienced the STD scare tactics. Some of us may even have gone through abstinence-only sex education!

Here in Secular Sexuality we will discuss:

-sexual health in light of peer-reviewed science
-safe for work guides on safe(r) sex (or links)
-questions that would shock the religious

In addition to financial support, each employee at One® Condoms invests personal time and energy to impact their community in positive ways. We believe that hands-on experience and an understanding of the complexity of sexual health outreach is vital to the success of our company, and our employees donate thousands of hours in support of organizations around the world. Our company is managed by individuals who not only are passionate about sexual health, but who are also committed to engaging in discourses about sexual health.

Thanks to the Australian Sex Party, I did an email interview yesterday for, of all places, Cosmo. Seems they want to talk to women who enjoy porn, which was too cool for me to pass up. Don't know if my answers will be chosen, but I here's hoping :)

Things that you'd be ashamed to tell your mother.

@Sean: I thought anthropomorphizing was when we attached human elements to non-human things, like claiming our dog peed on the carpet because he was mad at us. Does it apply to seeing faces in clouds, too?
Comment by Sean Murphy on October 8, 2009 at 9:24am
Anthropomorphizing, if I recall correctly.

We tend to see faces in clouds and sexual connotations in nature (or architecture, art, photography, language, etc.) when none is present. I don't know what the phenomenon was actually called, but it is an inclination of our mind to search out patterns or recognizable objects in order to understand them. When we see something new, for example, or mind scans the database of stored objects we have in order to seek recognition for what it is. It probably compares the new object to myriad other objects. I for one, am very phallocentric. I see peni in many things. :)
