Sex for fun and non-procreation!

In this world, we can't get away from religion. We've been exposed to false information regarding contraception failure rates and experienced the STD scare tactics. Some of us may even have gone through abstinence-only sex education!

Here in Secular Sexuality we will discuss:

-sexual health in light of peer-reviewed science
-safe for work guides on safe(r) sex (or links)
-questions that would shock the religious

The definition of fantasy was pretty woo woo too, totally faith based!

Same here, although 'moderate' is relative.  My parents dragged us to church every single week, but it didn't affect our home life much.  It was constant, but not fundamentalist or anything.

For the second half, I interpreted 'leaving the faith' as when I was finally able to chuck the whole thing, which was either 14 or 18, depending upon how you look at it.  Either way, there was zero change, before and after.

I bet I helped make the fetish section a little bit more weird, too.

I stopped midway through the survey, as like some below, most of the questions weren't relevant to me, as even though I grew up in a moderately Christian household, I was never a believer.

I just finished taking it. Taking the time to think about the answers gave me some insight into myself and just how little influence religion has had on my life. I too ran into a lot of questions that by their wording did not apply to me, so I answered the best I could and added a lot of explanatory comments.

Oh that was a horribly designed survey! Comletely biased questions. N/A options usually missing. The youth questions were overly vague. And possibly the most revealing question... at what age did you leave religion (relevant to sexual morals) had an answer scheme limited to "since adolescence". The pre-teen years make a huge difference in one's ethical code and the surveyor made a major booboo there.

The questionaire was simply not designed to handle people who had NEVER been religious. Even tho it tried unsuccessfully to accomodate. I ended answering "other" to nearly every question...

Ahhhhh, the Atheist Nexus main page.  Yeah, I never see that page.  I always come in through e-mail links to specific conversational threads or other activity.

It's on the home page for this site. Just click the hyperlink of "short survey" to join in.
