The Relationship Jesus Christ as a Template for Christian Religious Experience

Came across a short paper I wrote about 5 years ago at the request of a colleague.

This is the abstract that was prepared for it:
This paper examines the notion of having “a relationship with Jesus Christ” [ARJC], which has come to be a mantra for the modern Evangelical movement through the 19th century revivalist school of New England. The writer argues that rather than being a term with objective, measurable content, the ARJC serves instead as a template through which Evangelical Christians interpret their subjective religious experiences.

Thanks for sharing JC, I've just began reading your essay. This is certainly a discussion worthy topic so I'll pop back in tomorrow and post a few thoughts.
Thank you, Lamar. I look forward to your comments.
