"The Gods of Mars" by Edgar Rice Burroughs

Started by Edward Teach. Last reply by Luara on Friday. 2 Replies

Burroughs wrote the original Tarzan books. The God's of Mars is the second in a series. It is a beautiful metaphor for religious absurdity. Not to give too much away, but Mars is depicted as a planet with multiple races, each having its own…Continue

I don't talk to too many people, and then there are much less people I talk to about Sci-FI. So, the following observation may be common knowledge, I don't know.

I am watching the movie sequel to 2001: A Space Odyssey, 2010.

I was watching the scene where Dr. Floyd and his colleague are on a park bench in front of the white house. There is an elderly gentleman at the other end of the bench feeding the pigeons. Can you guess who that is?

Hello Ant Mac I would love to read your reviews. You would just Add a Disussion for each book you want to review. Do you know how to add a discussion? If not tell me and I can explain how.
Thanks and we look forward to reading your reviews. Welcome to the group!

Steph, would it be a good thing for me to write a review of the recent books I have read in the genres?. If so, do you have a thread for doing  this in?. I can't find anything of the sort.

I am having trouble working out how this particular site goes about things, to be prefectly honest, I find the interface vastly confusing.

I sat in the sunroom and re-read a Georgette Heyer novel, mainly because I wanted some gentle laughs. She has few matches for kindly humour and gentility.

In New Zealand traditional observence of Labour day, we scrupulously avoid labour if at all possible. We take our public holiday obligations almost ( dare I say it ) religiously.

How did your labor day go?
Post your writings here - or discuss something you read.
I always enjoy reading your works.

I'm working on my next project "The Dark Circle Saga." It's a four part novel series that continues the story started in "The Catacomb Dungeon."

Or reading anything in particular?
