The Monterey County Skeptics are meeting this Saturday Night 4/11 in Monterey for dinner and adult beverages; At Lopez Cantina, If anyone is interested let me know so I can include you in the reservations.

There is a Santa Cruz Atheist meetup this Saturday morning at the Denny's on Ocean St. I went to the last one and enjoyed the conversation. I'll be out of town for this one, but I encourage anyone looking for good, empathetic conversation to go. Click on the link in the discussion forum for info about the exact time.

As far as getting together goes, there is a group on meetup.com called "Santa Cruz Atheists" already doing just that. You can Google it and join. I went to a get-together at the Denny's on Ocean St. (Ave.?) and had a good discussion. They also had a beach cleanup this past Saturday (on the equinox, I believe). They also have some electronic discussions going, including writing a letter to get rid of a giant menorah (I've never seen it) that the SC post office apparently puts up during the holidays. I will also continue to post their activities here in case anyone is interested in checking out that group.

I work in Aptos and live in Marina, we are building a group down there. We have had a few meetings. We are mostly a "skeptics" group and not simply atheist. However we are all atheists. Feel free to join us here or on our Yahoo discussion group (which is a little more active)
