Yes, photo major.
You should check out and stop by meeting of RIT Skeptics.

Incidentally, if you knew that, are you at RIT yourself in some way?

Thanks! I did see one such flyer on a wall in one building. I guess I might have to do a lot of walking around then inside all the many buildings at RIT after I get there!

RIT has a lot of posters around campus from people looking for roommates.

Hello guys, know anybody in Rochester who might have a room or apt to rent for a good price? I'm not in Rochester yet, and don't know anybody yet in Rochester. I'm transferring to RIT beginning in spring quarter 2010 (classes start the first Monday in March), and I will be in Rochester after February 12. I will be taking some bridging classes, then I will apply to graduate school (both at RIT). Feel free to pass this information on! If you don't know anybody, thanks anyway!

It is true that many people take the path of religion to lead them out of destructive life styles. It is also true that people can do the same thing without a reliance on faith (you just don't hear about it as much). You sound like a very nice you…

I thought it was utterly brilliant that he said Abbot's offer of a billion dollars for Hobart hospital was immoral! His refusal of such a ridiculous bribe iis one of the first moral acts I've ever seen from a politician. Clearly the man will have a…

I've seen posts about the 50 commandments of jeebus put out by xtians that cite chapter and verse and you really don't need a commentary to go along with them. Boy it sure does kill the whole GOP/Tea Party platform.

Seems like you could be in danger of getting more than just your tongue stuck, to a dancing pole at the north pole . . .

Just be carefull... I had a similar discussion with my sisnlaw and it almost caused a big rift in my otherwise tightly nit family.

From the article Tommy cited. "However, religious commentators have criticized Hawking's theorizing, saying he can never hope to explain what is essentially unexplainable." Well doesn't that kind of invalidate their own "god" theory then? ;p

Anybody else read it? I love the basic premise, and being an atheist means I can appreciate the mythology and not get bent out of shape about the multiple deities.

Wyoming is better than the southeast, from what I've seen. It's still a solid red state, though. My big point was that there are no cities. The closest it has are Cheyenne and Casper, each of which are around 50,000 people. The entire state barely…

I was in Panama City this past weekend, but I didn't have any free time. I was there for my brother-in-law's pinning. He was promoted to Major in the Air Force. The promotion ceremony was full of God and Jesus references, and the invocation was give…

I saw a video, or a blog post once that listed all the uncomfortable and illogical things that a person must do, according to Jesus' own words, in order to follow him. The list included hating your family, selling all your possessions, etc. I'm pret…

It's been almost a full day, and none of them have responded. I'm hoping that's the end of it, and they have bowed to my superior sophistry. ;-)
