@Mike K:

Yeah, I saw that via @rdfrs on Twitter.

I want to comment and thank them for advertising it, but I can't log in. The log-in page and the reset password page keep refreshing after I input the requested info...

Anyways, I agree with a doco centered around "The Ancestor's Tale" That was such a great book.

@Loren:
You're lucky. All of the Bible shows on the History Channel shown here in the States end it either ambiguously (it's possible) or run entirely on the assumption that teh Bible is true to begin with.

You have to realize that, ironically, the USA is perhaps the most religious country in the developed world (ie amongst all first-world countries). And it's ironic because it was founded on the basis of secularism (by Freemasons, no less).

They aired the History Of Charles Darwin on paid TV here in South Africa (I think Nat Geo). It was shortened quite a lot though. We had one other, I think snippets of Enemies of reason. We also had through the wormhole on Sunday night on Discovery Science. This is all on cable TV. On the History Channel we often have documentaries on the Bible where by the end of each episode myths are busted!

BTW everyone... here's the petition: http://www.thepetitionsite.com/2/get-richard-dawkins-on-tv-in-the-s...

PLEASE sign it. If I can get 100,000 signatures by January 12, that would amazing! American Atheists agreed to advertise it, so that's exciting... :D

Like I said... they've shown pseudoscience shit. But don't forget... the Mythbusters are on Discovery, and so is Headrush.

I don't agree that they're necessarily pseudoscience channels. They've shown pseudoscience shit to be sure, but their programs about animal, about the Universe, and Physics, and more are amazing. "The Planet" and "Life" are incredible documentaries about Earth and the life in it, and I hold a special place in my heart for "The Universe". I rather like the new show "Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman", as well. Plus, shows like "How it's Made" are pretty intriguing. And who doesn't love "The Mythbusters"?

Besides... I figure if I can get enough signatures, they'll be forced to at least consider it... I intend to email all the Secular and Atheist organizations of the USA about this, to see if they'd be willing to advertise such a petition.

Just wondering... if I were to write a petition asking the channels History, Discovery, Science, and National Geographic to air Richard Dawkins' stuff here in the States, how many of you would sign it?

I managed to find this article on the topic. Not sure if it is what you are after Nathan but there are some cool comments in response! Worth reading and will bring a smile to your face I think. Did to mine..

PLEASE HELP! I don't remember if it was during his God Delusion book tour or press conferences on the Atheist Bus Campaign, but someone asked Richard something like "by saying 'there's probably no God', doesn't that make you an agnostic?" or something like that.

I know it's on video because I clearly remember watching it. However, all Google and Bing searches have not just not helped, but have turned up results that have connection whatsoever to what I'm looking for, and it's getting me kind of angry. Please help... thank you...
