Unless you were raised by atheist parents, you probably had some recovering to do when you left religion. The purpose of RR is to provide a landing place for people when they jump from religion. With local support groups throughout the US, Canada, UK, and Australia, and real-time resources accessible to everyone, RR is where to turn when faith has lost its luster.

I agree with Meddlesome in that religion is the root of all evils in the world today from political evangelicals to outright terrorists. I used to believe in live and let live but in light of the mischief done by religious sects today, I can no longer do this.

We are very careful not to reveal where some groups are in places like India and Bangladesh since it can be dangerous. Email her at Sarah Morehead <moreheadclan@cox.net> and tell her I referred you. If you have an interest in starting a group, let her know. She can help you with that as well.

What a coincidence. Just yesterday my quoted me a line with the same intent. "Logic didn't bring these people to the position they hold now, so logic can't be used as a method of escape or cure."

I guess it's a question of deconditioning, a much more complicated process than reasoning and cold scientific facts.
