Comment by Renee on October 21, 2012 at 4:34am Haha, I actually did come here from my email.
I always want to post on Atheist Nexus but get side tracked with other stuff, and then of course I forget about the site completely. I really MUST become active ; )
Comment by Renee on October 21, 2012 at 3:07am Wow, I am amazed to see over 80 members! I've lost track of this site for far too long and never expected to see this place take off. You guys are awesome.
Comment by Selina Mannion on May 5, 2012 at 11:19am Hi guys!!! This group is awesome. I am doing an anthology of people leaving their religion.l would like a catholic story to be included as well 12 pages give or take is ideal. I want a story of how a devout pious catholic "saw the light"
Comment by Rose Bug on February 9, 2012 at 10:44am What do you think of the Church's opposition to having to offer birth control coverage to employees? There is a lot of discussion on our local tv stations' facebook pages. There are a lot of Catholic women who are posting that they agree with the church. I thought that was interesting, since I have seen studies that say 98% of Catholic women of childbearing age use birth control. I hardly know any Catholic families with more than two kids, so someone is lying here...

I'd like to introduce anyone who is interested to a cool and funny book I worked on as a freelance editor and which is now out on the market. The New Revised Catechlysm is a parody of the old Baltimore Catechism, and of the Catholic worldview in general. It'll be appreciated especially by ex- and recovering Catholics but will also appeal to students of religion (and no religion).
There's more information on my website at this link. Please understand that I derive no income from sales of this book--I was paid for my services, but I loved the project so much that I want to help it become a big hit for my client. I'm also thrilled with the end product, which I saw today for the first time.
So please take a look. It's the perfect gift for the lapsed Catholic (or even still-Catholic-with-a-sense-of-humor) on your shopping list, and is available in print and ebook formats.
Thanks!
