Hey all. I have a BS in Psych and may continue on to get a MA in Counseling. I really love to learn about cognitive/emotional development, and "disorders." I am a huge fan of sociology as well.

This is true, Rosemary. Sometimes one has to have been there, done that, to be able to help others through it.

@Mriana, I suspect that at least half the "normal" people have a mental health diagnosis, too. What makes a good therapist is someone who is aware of their problems and found a workable solution or way of taming them. I worked long enough in the field to discover that the most useless therapists are people who have never had a sizeable problem in their life. They lack real empathy, and that is harmful.

I was in the field long enough to find that almost 1/2 the people who work in the field do or did have a some mental health Dx.

When i go back to school i plan to study psychology and philosophy. I too have mental disorders. Having them makes people like us have a better understanding of others, since we can relate with most.

Hey Doug. I don't think it's mentally healthy to be completely sane. I try not to be.

I have a split-personality. Though they usually argue, both of them agreed to take one major in college- AB Psychology.

Nathan Young That's true Jonathan Brown.  At one time I was a member of the MRA board when it was more open towards hearing an orthodox Mormon views on things.  Since that time the MRA is now under the stewardship of a new 'religion' the 'Society for Humanistic Mormonism' which is merely another apostate religion.  It will fail just like all other apostate forms of Mormonism have failed including might I add the Mormon "Transhumanist" Association and their kind, and all the front…

Hello fellow atheists!  I have joined this site in an attempt to find other rational individuals, such as myself, and to promote a current charity drive that I am trying to get going for the Oklahoma tornado victims.  I have managed to get many groups from around my area, including the Beyond Belief Foundation to back me on this endeavor.

I am located in Newnan, Ga and have my own atheist group entitled "Coweta County Atheists".  I am currently being backed by Spaulding Co.…
