A discussion in Atheist Singles lauds monogamy over polygamy, citing this research, while Polyamory is so taboo it's invisible and unthinkable. Since I'm not single, I can't protest. Anybody single here want to enlighten them?

Breaking promises is the main cause of suffering in human relationships. If there was one commandment I would make for humanity it is:
KEEP THE PROMISES YOU MAKE
Contraindication= promises made under duress don't count!
Permalink Reply by Michael OL on February 19, 2012 at 7:45pm I agree with Will. The central problem isn't making an unorthodox or "unnatural" choice, but in failing to honor the promises that one has made in making his/her choice.
