This is what I am reading from others as well and I think they look at the obvious evidence to support this news.
Consumers don't have $ with which to buy.
Banks are not willing to lend.
Employed worried about their jobs.
Median wage dropping further, adjusting for inflation.
Saving for education and retirement more difficult.
Social Security rose from 4/2% to 6.2%, about $100 month.
Stimulus is over.
States cutting jobs and spending.
Fiscal showdown delayed 3 months.
Take a look at what happens in Europe, Japan, China.
Chance of recession for next 18 months is 50%.
