If the ark carried dinosaurs, when did they become extinct?  (Or evolve [oops!] into birds?)

I have heard fundaMENTALists claim that there never were such animals...they said YHWH the Joker manufactured fake dinosaur bones, and buried them during Noah's "flood" to fool people.
