Gay student asks Justice Scalia to defend his 'bestiality' comments
It is one problem when dogma intrudes on a social conversation but when it invades our court system, we are in real trouble. Homosexuality is not a caught or a learned behavior, it is part of a person's being. To be homosexual is to be fully human, worthy of respect and equality of all rights of a human being.
"As Scalia often does in public speaking, he cracked wise, taking aim mostly at those who view the Constitution as a 'living document' that changes with the times.
'It isn't a living document,' Scalia said.
'It's dead, dead, dead, dead."
Unfortunately, Roman Catholicism and homophobia are learned behaviors and it spreads like a disease where ever it is not challenged.
I look to the day when a person is judged by such things as kindness, care, concern, compassion, gentleness, and with good communication skills.
