education through scientific environment and a bridge to close the overwhelming gap in the income disparity between the poor and the rich is the key to democratic secularization in the Philippines...

Hi, I'm not Filipino and I don't live in the Philippines. I have, however an interest in effecting positive change in Phil culture -- so I've founded a BlogTV Show for Filipinos to utilize to carry on the good fight. Jim Ashbey has already shown a keen interest. The rest of you, please, for the sake of bringing the Phil into the 21 Century, come check out the show: http://www.blogtv.com/People/FilipinoAtheists The show is designed as an outreach to all Filipinos -- an outreach that can be effective only if YOU take a leading role in this new education-oriented show.

I haven't seen much atheistic activism going in the Philippines lately. I'm sure that everyone is just busy. I just hope that the complacency and too relaxed attitude won't bite us in the future though.

Kudos to everyone here who've seen the light in Reason! Pity those still blinded by Faith as they will always live in darkness, shrouded from light and never seeing Truth! It takes much courage and bravery to leave the confines and comfort given by illusions created by religion in exchange for the unadulterated truth given by logic, reason and facts. :-)

My Wife Leanor is from Lucena City. We reside in Pago Pago, American Samoa.
There is a rather large Phillipino Comunity here. {2,000 plus}
I have been a practicing Atheist for the better part of my life.
My wife and I share the same beleifs pertaining to organized religion; it is a busnc os garbage rammed down the throats of Babes at an early age. {Brainwashing?}

Kamusta? I'm a Fil-Am who grew up in the Philippines and now that I'm in the US, I can see how brainwashed I have been, so is the rest of the country. I want to connect/chat/meet some Filipino atheists. Having our culture, it's really hard to just put your beliefs out there when everyone is Catholic and narrow-minded. Add me, also "Ex-Catholics Coalition" group may be of interest. Salamat!

a so much ironic experience: ...was struggling through the pages of every book in the bible, then caught myself finally thinking the so-called god doesn't exist. replay? nah, no rewinds. i'll move on as atheist now. im much righteous in here. (^^,)
