Pat's new video is out. For some reason I couldn't embed it. Please click on the link.

In his video "What About The Jews" he talks about disliking fundamentalist Jews and not believing in Jewish religious ideas. Therefore you could infer that he doesn't believe the Jews are the chosen ones. Most Jews don't think they're "chosen" at all, or don't think it means they're superior or the one true religion or anything like that. If you believe Israel should have the right to exist, then what exactly is the problem other than a religion implying you're not chosen? That's not the worst thing a religion has said or done, and I don't expect a lot of intelligence to come from religions, so I don't care what religions say or imply about me. Do you have any other questions besides "how come they get to be the chosen ones and not me?"

Allright, Pat Condell talked about the Jews and the zionist conspiracy theorists. Question answered.

Dr. Mush, I think you would have a difficult time making a reasonable, evidence-based case for your theory but I'd be willing to hear it.  When doing so, be careful to avoid the common errors of the all-consuming conspiracy, namely unfalsifiability.

Pardon the interruption, but since it predates the state of Israel I would argue Zionism is not that Israel has the right to exist so much as Israel, as a Jewish nation, should exist.

I can have a position of support for the country as it is now while still disagreeing that it--a nation that with a mandate to systematically discriminate against non-Jews--had a right to be established in the first place.  In that regard I'm pro-Israel but anti-Zionist.

Comment by Prog Rock Girl on March 20, 2012 at 11:44am

For one thing, the original definition of Zionist is "someone who believes Israel has the right to exist". You seem kind of "sensitive" if you ask me, and you're jumping to conclusions on my views of Judiasm, which trust me I don't hold sacred. It would help if you would clarify what about Zionism you want given equal time to, because it came off like you believe in a worldwide zionist conspiracy.  I also don't agree with everything done by Israel and when Jews act the same as Islamists I certainly have a problem with that but I think most people who are anti-Israel have an extremely selective focus, and they are typically the same people who are in denial about Islamists.

Pat Condell doesn't read this page, I'm pretty sure, so you could try the feedback page on his website if you really want to tell him to talk about Zionism.

Hey Prog Girl,

Why is it Ok to slam other religions (rightfully so),and hold the Zionist religion sacred? I'm not asking Pat to agree with me as you so wrongfully stated. It's just that, when it comes down to criticizing Israel, which should be allowed to exist, It seems like this is where you and other zionist defenders draw the line. Why so damn sensitive on this issue?

No sacred cows please. All religions suck big time!
