Comment by Theo Bromine on September 11, 2012 at 10:00pm The year is 2012 and once again the world is ending. According to the remaining records of the Mayan Long Count Calendar, the 13th Ba’ka’tun will count down and end on December 21st 2012.
While the New Age Spiritualists will be busy hocking their remaining crystal balls and spirit rugs, the Mayans would have rested comfortably knowing that the 14th Ba’ka’tun would begin the very next day on December 22nd.
The Mayans would have marked the end of an Era with a large celebration and true to that spirit, CFI Canada is proud to welcome you to: Eschaton2012: Celebrating Reason at the End of the World,
Join us in Ottawa, for the first large scale CFI Conference in Eastern Canada, as we welcome:

Comment by P Tittle on June 17, 2012 at 10:47pm Just a short note to tell people about two new books (fiction) of interest to atheists (there are so few!).
The Blasphemy Tour, by Jass Richards - Two Canadian atheists go on a cross-country speaking tour of American Bible Colleges…. Irreverent. Definitely irreverent.
Thus Saith Eve, by chris wind - A collection of ‘epistles’, each written from the point of view of one of the women from The Bible, as if she had a contemporary feminist consciousness. For example, (my fav), Eve does not accept blame for choosing the apple, for choosing knowledge over obedience.
Both are Canadian authors published by me (Magenta, Ontario).
