I appreciate the response,terri, but ultimately the point is that there is a principle that explains something specific, and understanding that would qualify the remark at the end about dismissing claims of quantum influence. Instead of only keeping an open minds we should fill the ones we already have, then once they are full expand them to fill them some more. if you consider my opinion close minded, simply read up on my justification and we can discuss it further. I will be the first to acknowledge that I do not know everything about anything, but I also know that we as a people know very very very little about anything at all.  It is best, in my opinion again, too keep an open mind and not dismiss something bases on a word "quantum".  It is often overlooked that it not only researches the very small but it also focuses on the very large as well.

 

As one of my favorite sayings go, "Of course science doesn't know everything, otherwise it would stop".

@ terri, I say this with no disrespect but I see quantum physics invoked too often where it doesnt belong, so I suggest looking up "quantum decoherence"to get a better understanding of why quantum physics does nothing to support claims of "quantum consciousness" or any such notions. More often than not people only hear the exciting and bizarre developments in the field and never gain a proper understanding of the fundamental principals, or even research methods, involved in experimentation. Typically study is done in a near vacuum state so wave functions dont collapse- that is, a state that is almost as unnatural as physically possible. The universe, and our world as we knowit, do not exist in this state, and that is why quantum mechanics isn't evident or prevalent in day to day life. A rule that I go by is that if quantum anything is invoked in an explanation for something other than sub atomic research, it is typically bullshit.

I am open to the possibility of negative positive energies.  I know some people that have has some experiences, that leave me wondering.  I haven't had anything happen to me but...I have seen it with other people.   Sometimes, I feel I am an empath, but then I wonder if it's just a case of me being able to read body language really well.  idk.  Sometimes, I meet people and with in a few minute can tell them detailed things that happened to them in their past.  if it's something bad, i feel really sick, if it's something good, I am all joyous.  but, like I said not sure what that's all about.  could be i can read body language really well or something.

I think Shane has a point.  There are been many studies on Global Conscience and quantum theory has had some explanation to this possibility as well.  Quantum physics (Supersymmetry) is composed of two basic units, fermions and bosons (basic particle and basic wave function) and many experiments have been done to explore the idea of Superposition; any one particle can be in multiple locations at the same time.  With this in mind, it is quite possible to share experiences without actually being there as a body.

 

I am not saying that I believe in ghosts and whatnot, but a global or even a shared conscience is, in my opinion, guite feasable.
