I posted it on the other site, Adrian. And for the record I don't actually disagree with either of you (Ogden and Adrian) or Larry. Read what I got there.

Atheist Nexus does not allow religionists to post here. For the same reasons, climate/environment boards should not allow Larry Lawson types to post.

Horses to water and pearls before swine and all that.

Larry innate sense that we are all wrong from what he has experienced and learned over the years...and even though he has no related education whatsoever and seems to demonstrate a position akin to a flat-earther, Jesus worshipper etc., I really believe he has simply taken a position long ago, against authority...any authority and revels in questioning the authority of the people here. This questioning is not to learn anything but rather to disturb and distress while running out theories and slants he has developed over the years.

I am afraid Larry is a troll.

Holy crap you guys have been busy (^_^)...I take it John and Larry didn't watch much news this weekend? I say this because a leaked report on climate change has stated that reports were exaggerated on time lines and severity of GW. Albeit, this does not conflict with the data per say, but I find it interesting. Of course, this brings up my point. I don't argue it's not happening, I also strongly believe we need to something about pollution, emissions, etc. for many reasons besides GW. Mine's more of a fascination with the human mind and thinking. Especially the 3 hardest words for someone to say (especially a scientist) "I don't know". It could be as bad as Adrian says or it could be worse. We could end up with newly needed farmland in northern Canada, Russia, and Europe in 50-100 years....We don't know. In the meantime, let's clean up the environment.

And I want to make one more point on "realism". Adrian, I assume you make a decent living and are not suffering from hunger or disease? Well why don't you go tell the people of third world nations from your cozy home, that GW will make the death they're experiencing worse...good luck on that.

Facinating discussion but horrible placement for it. I just started a global warming thread under science. Please everyone continue this conversation there.

Also I think that all of you participating are very intelligent people, who are also very proud. It's a combination that can easily lead to a sort of bullheaded certainty in ones words that can lead to hurt feelings from like minded people. I think that virtually everyone acted like jerks at some point in the discussion thus far and that we should let bygones be bygones. Again, let us resume this conversation where it belongs: http://www.atheistnexus.org/forum/topics/global-warming-what-do-you

I agree with Don. You give your arguments without bullying anyone.
