I was introduced to plate tectonics in the late 1960s or early 1970s and was fascinated by the idea. I explained it to my Dad, born in 1908, and he just made fun of the idea and the "education" I was getting. Now we face the early stages of public awareness of singularity and "Rainbow Gravity Theory". I wonder what will seem outlandish to me and my great-grandkids will learn with enthusiasm! We live in interesting times.
