The Reason Rally was an inspiring celebration of atheism and secularism that took place in Washington, D.C. on March 24, 2012. It would be an over statement to say that it shook the foundation of faith, but, there can be no doubt that it has served a notice that faith is not here to stay forever. On the other hand, it has shown the atheist community that the thought that “we just don’t believe in god, there is nothing more to us than this as a group” is wholly incorrect. Reason rally is a definite indication that atheism is getting to be a movement and needs to become one.
Do we need to take a fresh look at our future aims? Does the Reason Rally show us a need for unity, identity as a group and the need for a purpose?
