I'm a member of the University of Oregon's Alliance of Happy Atheists. We're really new so we might not have a lot of funding yet but I'm sure we'd love to work something out for a show.

There is a secular sobriety group that is meeting in Medford if anyone is interested (or knows of someone who may be). Bottom line, it's AA/NA without the god b.s.
Meetings are now on Sundays at 6 pm. Apparently some theists have caused problems when the location has been advertised. If you're interested, please e-mail Paul at paulmykol@yahoo.com for the location. Thanks.

Hello all! I live in Gladstone, but work in Portland and play music all over Oregon and the North West. I also lived in Eugene for a while. I have just joined the site and subsequently, the group . OK. I am venting. My mother died two weeks ago. She was a “god fearing christian.” Before her death she refused all medical treatment. She wanted to be left alone. She even refused to speak with my brother who is a methodist minister. He is a pip, let me tell you! This probably should not have shocked me as much as it did (especially since I am in Texas). I actually thought my coworkers were playing a joke on me because they know I am an atheist. Sadly, this was no joke. This actually happened.
