Oh, I no longer live in the area, when the Mills started shutting down (when I was in high school) my father moved us all up to Portland (where he's been able to keep working to this day). Most of my friends have moved out of the area as well, been years since I've been down there (last time I was there was a quick stop on my way further south, last year, cruised through my old neighborhood, hasn't changed much).

It is still frighteningly dominated by the religious. I live out in the Applegate which is the heart of the 238 mega church. People actually move here just to be closer to it. It can be very lonely at times which is why my family decided to come out of the closet! If you live in this area join us!

Wow, glad to see some Freethinker activity in Grants Pass, growing up there it was quite the theist-dominated region (I think the whole place was run by a coalition of Churches and Lumbermills).

From Eugene as well, Looking For Some Active Atheist and events. Trying to get to know more of a Local Atheist base to do more one on one things with people. Online Atheism Group are great but i would love to do some events and thing to help spot light Atheism and things we can do.
