StillwaterGuy: I agree with you about Kern. I think Randy Brogdon is one scary individual too. He's "all in" with the tea partiers, has pushed "academic freedom", etc.

I think we are headed for a real confrontation with these idiots. I'm sure Oklahoma's Sally Kerns is already on this. (see above link)

The Nones Have It According to a 2009 study the percentage of Americans claiming no religion, which jumped from 8.2 in 1990 to 14.2 in 2001, has now increased to 15 percent. Given the estimated growth of the American adult population since the last census from 207 million to 228 million, that reflects an additional 4.7 million "Nones." "Many people thought our 2001 finding was an anomaly," [Ariela] Keysar said. We now know it wasn't. The 'Nones' are the only group to have grown in every state of the Union." I lived there from 1965 until 1980. Edmond is great. They let a church put up a huge cross on I-35 but wouldn't let Joe's Crab Shack put up a huge crab. go figure.

I'm all for separation of church and state (see au.org) and keeping religion out of our public schools - unless they teach the history of the big ones, like Christianity, Jew deism, Pastafarianism.
