Are there any groups that meet around Canton on the weekends?  I work the afternoon shift so I can't really meet at night during the week...

Hello. I grew up in SE Michigan and have been living near the Short North in Columbus since 2006. I'm looking for some contacts, and/or some people to meet to talk and/or do a fun activity. The thing is, I'm a lapsed Jew and until August 2010 I was afraid to talk to non-Jewish girls and as I grew up I was taught some rather socially conservative, prudish attitudes but I have thrown all that out the window except that I am 28 and I haven't yet really found a life outside of Judaism and I have never had any real girlfriend...

Thanks for letting me know that Brian, I'll be sure to check them out.

@The Secular One: I'm surprised you saw something pro-Libertarian on the Freethought Dayton site. Libertarians are a tiny minority in Freethought Dayton, and not part of the core group. I oughta know, I'm one of 'em (the Freethought Dayton folks, not a Libertarian!) Recently moved to Cinci, and they're the only thing I miss. I drop in on them every once in a while, and wouldn't be driving 50 miles to hang out with Libertarians. Not sure I've met a Libertarian atheist who wasn't dogmatic. Give 'em another try!

Hey Susan, I'm in Dayton.  Feel free to drop by Wright State University's Freethought WSU group.  There is also a Dayton Freethought group, but I haven't met up with them since I saw pro-Libertarian stuff on their website.

Hi Susan.  I hope by now you have made some contacts within the atheist community.  If you havent, well join the crowd.  This group is really not all that active it seems.  However, I will correspond if you would like.  Just message me here.
