WELCOME TO THE ODDITORIUM

The ODDITORIUM is a group for atheists who are interested in the bizarre and unusual, such as circus freaks or genetic anomalies in nature, bizarre beliefs, extreme behavior, unique talents, odd customs, unusual events, unbelievable news, strange happenings, and anything else that is oddly curious, out of place, or proves the old adage that fact is stranger than fiction.

What not to post:
I prefer that we skip topics such as conspiracy theories, UFO’s, crystal gazing, and subjects along those lines, unless they deal with real-world events, such as a group of UFO worshipers who commit mass suicide, or conspiracy theorists who, because of their belief, behave in a strange manner.

ATLANTA – Police say a man who robbed a fast-food restaurant with a gun was so mad about the amount of loot that he called back twice to complain.

The man walked up to the drive-through window of an Atlanta Wendy's late Saturday night, wearing a ski mask and holding a gun.

He demanded the cash drawer, grabbed it and ran away.

But police say he later called the fast food restaurant to complain about the amount of cash.

Police say in one call he said that "next time there better be more than $586."

He called again with a similar complaint.

A disabled Austrian man was eaten to death by maggots in his bed while his partner slept beside him.

The 61-year-old retiree died in an ambulance on his way to hospital in Vienna on Tuesday with the maggots having partly devoured his back.

Paramedics notified police after discovering the shocking state of hygiene in the man's home, and his 34-year-old partner was questioned over his condition. "The man had not wanted to be washed for a long time," a police spokesman said.

According to police, the couple had been together for around a decade, and the victim's partner had slept in the same bed right up until his death. The dead man had been paralysed for several years following a stroke.
