I'd spark up the grill, but I imagine this stuff comes ready to serve.

As a vegetarian, I have eagerly awaited test-tube meat, but...eeeeeeewwwwwww.
No. Just no.
And we thought "soylent green" was a nightmarish vision of the future.

If you think about it, the recycling of basic neutrients is nothing new. We basically drink the water that all life on earth has pissed in at one point. And plants basically take animal excrement and turn that into fruits and vegetables.

But if you don't think about it too much, all you can say is that is friggin nasty!

Interesting! I'd be concerned about prion contamination. If human feces can yield protein from bacteria, why not try other low on the food chain items, such as fly larvae? One could grow flies on algae, with no human contamination.

Yes, from a public health perspective, it does seem risky.  I worked on a project here at Texas A&M that pioneered part of the process of turning fast food waste (including meat) into feed for beef cattle.  Not the best idea, turns out.

I think I'll stick to the local beef and venison I normally consume.
