I'm not sure. I always thought I was cynical though I always called myself a realist. That's a good question. I have some reading to do.

Mh.. I think this timeline should use some images of researches looking for cures for diseases, children getting vaccines, gay people getting married, Maxwells equations, people getting transplants...

Kinda points to the fact that whole peoples and eras fall victims to the planning and quarels of men, while the whole arc testifies that there really is little purpose - other than life goes on.
