North Dakota Atheists

I didn't see an ND group so I started one. Last I checked North Dakota had the lowest percent of "unaffiliated" in regards to religious identification (3%) which does not mean specifically atheist but shows it’s a tough state to be an atheist.

I thought it would be nice to have some links:

Red River Freethinkers
Project 42 The first freethinkers/atheist convention ever in the Fargo area. September 18th 2010!

Are there any more that would be of interest to people in ND?

Hello! How many people still visit this group on a regular basis? I'm looking for every heathen in the tri-state area to talk to :)

Robyn,

I'm from Minot; born and raised. I'd love a face to face. I need help navigating this internet ocean.

Is anyone here from Minot?

Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you know: Not only are tickets for the Project 42 Freethought Convention the greatest ticket in town, they are also $10 off through the event! Get yours today at www.project42convention.org.

Prices on convention tickets for the Project 42 Convention just went on sale for one week only. Get 'em while they're HOT! September 24-25 in Fargo. It's the best thing to hit North Dakota all year!

Are there only 19 atheists in the entire state? I moved to the wrong place.

Just so you know, Project 42 has been updated for this year. It is happening again on September 24, 2011. Tell everyone you know! www.project42convention.org.

Hi there. My name is Dren and I am a campus organizer for Center for Inquiry. I do outreach for students, but I also help the regular outreach department. ;) I just know that we have very few contacts in your area so I thought I would check in here since I am on A.N. anyway. Let me know if you want to chat, have questions about CFI, or need help from us at all. Have a good day!

Hi Waylon. I'm an atheist and a former North Dakotan. I'm looking for a contact to distribute me web survey to the Northern Prairie Secular Society or the Missouri River Freethinkers. Would you be willing to pass this along? I'm light on North Dakotans. The survey link is http://tiny.cc/00whi . Thanks, Chris.

No you are not.  I am vice president of the Northern Prairie Secular Society in Bismarck.  We will be having an unofficial coffee tomorrow at at 10:00 am at Cafe Aroma on 3rd and Broadway. If you give me your email, I'll add you to our mailing list.

I know it's a ways but we generally meet every Sunday at ten.   It may be better to show up a little late as they don't open until 10:00.  Be aware that there will be an evangelical group having a service in the main floor area and we will have to get our coffee and go into the basement meeting room.  Although the irony of this is quite delicious, I hope this does not scare off prospective attendees.

I hope to see you at one of our meetings
