Comment by Jessica Hewitt on May 9, 2012 at 2:08am I expect everyone to be properly educated on the matter at hand before voting on amendments that affect such large groups of people, but that's obviously too much to ask for in the Bible Belt.
Comment by Joseph P on May 9, 2012 at 2:04am Nope. Most had no freaking clue. You really expect religious nuts to do a proper job of educating themselves?
Comment by Jessica Hewitt on May 9, 2012 at 2:00am I hope all of the bigots that voted for A1 realize that straight couples lost some marriage rights today, too.
Comment by Joseph P on May 9, 2012 at 1:44am The funny part is that once DOMA falls, the only people getting fucked will be those in a domestic partnership. Gay people will be able to go out of state and get married.
Comment by Daniel McCullough on May 8, 2012 at 9:27pm While it's not unexpected I was still hoping that the state had grown up a little bit.
Comment by Jessica on May 8, 2012 at 8:55pm Why NC, why........ :(
Comment by Daniel McCullough on May 1, 2012 at 1:29am Hey guys! So...this group is, eh, lively. :)
I'm an atheist living near Greenville, NC. I've been hoping to find some groups near me, but everything seems to be costal or central. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears. BTW, vinegar, obviously.
Comment by Jessica on March 24, 2012 at 9:09pm Jules- Because it is! Yum!
Comment by Joseph P on March 24, 2012 at 3:25am I dunno, man. Half of the people in the urban areas of North Carolina are from out of state. You might get different results than you expect.
Comment by Jules Melvin on March 23, 2012 at 6:49pm hello fellow carolinians, here i'm sure i can debate things i really care about, like why vinegar bases bbq is better than tomato
