I tend to take Chomsky with at least a little grain of salt (his foreign policy take, that is -- obviously his linguistics work is unquestionable). His version of the development of computers is at least a little shady, as are his thoughts on some of the mechanics behind free market economics.

I've only read 'Hegemony or Survival'. Most of what I know of him has come via video lectures. Here's a pretty good one entitled 'The Militarization of Science and Space':

My favorite deconstructionist. My wife won't let me read transcripts of his lectures anymore because they make me suicidal.
