I’m in the middle of listening to Fellowship of the Ring as read by Rob Inglis. It’s not bad. He does a decent job, but listening to the trilogy is going to be quite a commitment. One person who could do a better job though, in my opinion, would be Jim Dale, the man who reads the Harry Potter series.
I did listen to the entire thing perhaps five years or so ago, but I really don’t recall that much. I mean, I listen to a lot of things over and over again, and when I hear it again it is all familiar, but not so this time. Perhaps it was just too long.
I’ve actually never read LotR in print.
I’m attaching three tracks from the CDs if you are interested in listening.
