Victor J. Stenger, adjunct professor of philosophy at the University of Colorado, emeritus professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Hawaii and author of ten books will address NOSHA.

His two most recent books will be available for purchase and dedication: "God the Failed Hypothesis" and "Quantum Gods: Creation, Chaos, and the Search for Cosmic Consciousness."


On Saturday, October 24, at 2 PM, Vic Stenger with a career in physics research and a parallel career as an author of ten critically acclaimed popular-level books that interface between physics and cosmology and philosophy, religion, and pseudoscience, will address the New Orleans Secular Humanist Association. His talk will be on "The New Atheism," the title of his newest book. He will dedicate books which will be on sale.

To get to the meeting place at the zoo: Enter from Magazine Street at Zoo Avenue (between the two stone lions) and continue to the statue of Audubon. The entry way to our area (the Dominion Learning Center) is to the right of the main entrance through the metal gates.

If it's a pretty day, parking will be at a premium so give yourself plenty of time to find a spot.

I was attracted to this group by Amy.I was in New Orleans in 1977.My family name is Paredes Cerf.I try to be a comedian like Bennett Cerf but I can´t because there is no God to help me.

Patrick Lestrade, Ph.D. at Mississippi State University will conduct a group discussion of the Milgram Experiment at the July 18 meeting of New Orleans Secular Humanist Association.

The Milgram Experiment tested “blind obedience to authority.”

The 2PM meeting at Audubon Zoo Dominion Learning Center in New Orleans is open to the public.
