we see what happens when people burn books instead of reading them...those written after the bronze age, anyway.

Yeah it was the Fractal Foundation in albuquerque, they even posted on their web page and facebook fan page, complaining about it. Seeing as I don't go to school there any more, I thought it was pretty funny.

Public apology? lol. I AM sorry. Sorry that so many people are so abysmally ignorant. Sorry that people (mistakenly) think they have a right not to be offended. Sorry for evolving!

land of entrapment indeed, particularly here in the southeast, the high school here recently demanded a public apology from a speaker who mentioned the word "evolve" a couple of times...It's rightful that our section of the state is grouped with west texas by the national weather service.

Hello! Just another desert dwelling non-believer here. Glad to finally learn there are others like me around here.

Oh, too bad about the salsa, but great that it was a good time anyway.

I've never been to anything with HSNM myself, but I think there may be some members of Atheists and Freethinkers of NM who may have, or who may have some suggest or recommendations of some kind.

I'm not certain, but I think Max may be able to tell you something about the Humanist Society.

Hi Scott - I believe the answer to your first question is 'yes', and wish I'd been able to attend the Salsa Festival.

How was the Salsa Festival? Tasty, I hope.

I heard (somewhere) about some watermelon salsa someone tried there and thought it was really good, so I made up a batch of my own version, and my husband and I really liked it.
