Amanda -- A fellow NM'er in Atheist Nexus pointed me to the Durango group at meetup.com.  Link  An awesome group of folks!

Not at all. I'm not really active because despite it being predominantly Catholic here it isn't overbearing, at least in my experience. Even when talking to some of the Baptists here they didn't have the same mentality that we would experience in say more Evangelical dominated areas.

Why 'not really active'? if you don't mind me asking.

Back in Santa Fe after living in Rio Rancho for a a couple of years. Not really active myself.

Cool. What kind of group is in Durango? Or, at least, how did you hear about it? Meetup.com?

Farmington for the past five years, Albuquerque before that.  I've met some really great folks at an atheist meetup in Durango, Colo. (about 45 mins away).

I'm in Albuquerque.

And, no, I'm not active in any local groups.

Where in NM is everyone? I'm in Los Alamos, and lived in Santa Fe for 6 years as well. Is anyone active in an atheist group where they live?
