everyone getting their share of snow?
find me on Facebook!
That sounds great! Maybe during a semester break I can make it out of Albuquerque to something up in Los Alamos.
A facebook group is a great idea. Maybe more people will find it.
In addition, I'd love to hear from more of the members of NM Atheists! Out of 50 or so people - somebody's got to have an opinion/idea....
Sorry, I mean that's great to *hear*.
That's great to here! I have an idea, we are beginning to organize our atheist group up here in Los Alamos. Join our meet up group if you are interested in attending an event in NM. Even if you couldn't make one of our weekly meetings, you can contribute ideas/contributions on the discussions page. And generally network with other NM atheists. Go to meet up and find Los Alamos Community of Friendly Atheists! We/I'd love to get to know you and hear your ideas!
If there was ever an event in NM, I'd definitely be there. I read about all these awesome events in other states, but I'm so busy with school/kids/work/whatever to get to one. Leaving town is hard.
I've seen info about the meetups in Albuquerque but I've never been to one. Does anyone here go to them?
That's great. I got at least one other in the Tucumcari area that is interested.
There's a group of scientists from, I think, UNM that call themselves New Mexicans for Science and Reason. We might pull a speaker out of them. Especially if they bring the thermite.
I'm down with that. I can do my best to get speakers, raise money, organize, etc. Maybe those in NM who feel they have no voice, can have one too. We know we're not alone, we just have to materialize it!
