Comment by Brian Dalton on April 29, 2010 at 4:42pm: Sam is right. Religion is not the cure for ails mankind and society. But I think America is a good example of a step in the right direction. When Christianity saturated Western Europe, it was Hell on Earth -- a terrorist police state in the most literal sense. As we constitutionally pushed religion out, freedom, reason, and tolerance slowly began to take over. We're not there, but we're headed in the right direction.
