Do you like trains? Are you a model railroad enthusiast or curious about the miniature world of model railroading? Well, hop on board! The train is leaving the station! No one here will accuse you of playing with "toy" trains, because everything on a model railroad layout including scenery is scaled to size, so it looks and operates like the real thing, only smaller and under your control!
My personal interest in model railroading dates back to the AC-powered O-guage Lionel trains of the late 1950's. My father worked for the GM&O (Gulf Mobile and Ohio) railroad, so I was exposed to trains and the business of railroading from an early age.
I now operate an unfinished work in progress HO-scale 4 x 8 ft. layout
(Industrial City Rail Works) with switchyards, spur lines, a sizeable mountain and several tunnels. While not as popular as it was at one time, model railroading is still very much alive and thriving in the 21st Century!
