Comment by Bob Lafferty on November 29, 2009 at 1:35pm: The St. Joseph (Missouri for those of you who don't recognize our major metropolis) Skeptics have staked a claim in the city's "Holiday Park" and filled it with a sign (a picture of which I hope comes with this message). It's been up a couple of days and we've already received one email with "love it, love it, love it" from a non-menber. And a second from a member we haven't seen for a while with the same sentiments. So far none of us have been fire bombed. Because we are a relatively new organization around here and we live in the buckle of the bible belt, we went for subtlety. Probably the majority for our fine citizens will eithier not notice it at all or think of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town".

We'd like to speak first with some people who have done this so we are prepared for pitfalls. Anyone willing to give us suggestions?

Isn't it odd that all the disasters sighted by JT are occurring in the more religiously virulent south and mid-west? That's not to say there aren't a sizable portion of critical thinkers there. Just adding some fodder, if you will.
