Fox … has moved derangement into the mainstream of Republican politics.

How Fox News Dresses Up Extreme Right-Wing Conspiracy Theories as News

Excellent illustration, Ruth, of the all-too-common false equivalence assigned to an opposing opinion! (At Fox News there was a memo from upper management to never mention climate change without also mentioning that it's "disputed".)

The speculative opposing view gets more apparent weight if propounded by a person in a business suit, or a clerical collar.

Great bloopers, Grinning Cat.

On a lighter note, a collection of "best news bloopers" of 2013. I especially like how the weathercaster coped when the camera suddenly tilted down off the map, to focus on the floor and her shoes.

Jim Harris on media coverage of the Climate Crisis:

The IPCC Report was in the news for a couple of days and then disappeared from mass media news cycle. This is the largest crisis humanity has ever faced: Life on earth hangs in the balance. And yet the media attention given to Miley Cyrus twerking was infinitely greater than the coverage of the IPCC report. [emphasis mine]

Let's Worry About Climate Change, Not Miley Cyrus

Facts and truth are foreign concepts to Faux.  They yell the loudest over percieved slights,.  The first lady suggesting people move more.  And drink water??   How dare she!  That's the kind of bs that gives them the bad rap they so richly deserve.
